Dr. Steve Biography
Dr. Steve Sherman
Dr. Steve Sherman’s own personal chiropractic care began after he became sick with ulcerative colitis while training for his first marathon. He was convinced that there had to be a more optimistic answer than treating his painful symptoms with ten pills a day for the rest of his life. Like some first time patients, Dr. Steve was a bit of a skeptic, but decided to give chiropractic a try. Chiropractic not only helped to eliminate his symptoms but allowed him to become healthier than he had ever been! Dr. Steve’s personal success motivated him to help others reach their full potential.
As an honors graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Dr. Steve excelled academically and clinically. He was recognized for his clinical excellence and participated in many extracurricular seminars to increase his skills and knowledge in various ways of treating patients. He received extra training in adjusting and active rehabilitation through Motion Palpation Institute, extra training in analysis with Sacro Occipital Technique, a certification in the analysis and treatment of TMJ Disorders, a certification in Active Release Technique (A.R.T.), a specialization in Chiropractic Nutrition, a specialization in the Treatment of Pregnant Patients and Pediatric Patients, and the list goes on. Dr. Steve is excited to bring these skills to the healthcare team at Tuttle Chiropractic Center. While studying at Logan, he combined his passion for service with his favorite sport and volunteered with the Gateway DisAbled Ski Program.
Dr. Steve’s undergraduate years were spent at the University of Wisconsin – Madison (the other UW), where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a focus in ergonomic workplace design, biomechanics, and job safety. In Madison he spent a good amount of his free time on community service, his favorite of which involved coordinating an after school program at a neighborhood elementary school.
Dr. Steve’s patients benefit from his broad spectrum of techniques which allow him to personalize care to maximize both comfort and results. From two days old to too old to admit, from marathon runner to TV series marathon watcher, from Ironman to Iron Chef, each patient of Dr. Steve’s receives safe, gentle, and effective holistic care. He is passionate about his work, and his focus is on restoring and maintaining patient health and wellness. In his free time he enjoys skiing, climbing, training for races, and playing soccer.
